With echoes of classic mid-century design, the Limbrey Bowls are inspired by an original Robert Welch design from the 1960s. The contrast of mirror polished 18/10 stainless steel and warm walnut accentuates the classical shape of the bowls. The bowls are named after John Limbrey, silversmith and model maker, who worked with Robert Welch for over 40 years. This product features a magnetised wooden base which can be removed to enable dishwashing of the stainless steel bowl. N.B. Due to the natural wood material used to produce this product colour variations may occur. DIMENSIONS Height: 48 mm Width: 125 mm
Brand: Robert Welch
When Robert Welch MBE (1929 – 2000) launched his company in 1955, he did so by setting up his drawing board and a camp bed in a disused workshop in an 18th century silk mill in Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds. From there, he created some of the most famous products in British domestic design, focusing on highly functional, affordable pieces from cutlery and kitchen utensils, to champagne buckets and candlesticks. Today, two of Welch’s children, Rupert and Alice, continue to design and manufacture from the same location, carrying on their father’s legacy
